MEDL 200 - Clinical Laboratory Foundations Description This course introduces the practices, procedures, and department workflows of a clinical laboratory. Hands-on training includes working with lab ware, equipment, reagents, and specimens, according to established protocols. The course covers foundational procedures in hematology, clinical chemistry, transfusion medicine, anatomic pathology, and microbiology. You will learn how to maintain a safe work environment and demonstrate professionalism in your practice. By the end of the course, you will be prepared to perform laboratory tasks, including reagent and specimen preparation, following quality assurance principles.
