ENVS 256 - Field Ecology Description This course covers the fundamentals of ecology, including populations, ecosystems, biodiversity, Alberta’s species at risk, while incorporating viewpoints beyond western perspectives. Students will explore biogeochemical cycles, soil science, and various habitats, while developing skills in study design, field equipment use, and sampling techniques for measuring biotic and abiotic factors.
