Program Description


The Geophysics & Hydrocarbon Production program prepares graduates to understand production operations facilities and interpret seismic processing data in compliance with industry standards and regulations. This program provides trainees with the fundamental knowledge of Geophysics Seismic Process & Interpretation and Hydrocarbon Production. The program has an integrated English Language component that is a prerequisite in order to successfully complete the subsequent technical training for the Geophysics & Hydrocarbon Production certificate. This program has an equal balance of applied learning and theory that includes competency based assessments. Embedded English language supports this program. Areas of study include: Technical English, Petroleum Industry Common Core, HSE, Geophysics Seismic Process & Interpretation and Hydrocarbon Production Operations.

Progression


Students must attain a PGPA and/or a CGPA of 2.0 or better in each semester and pass the necessary prerequisite courses to progress through the program. To qualify for graduation students must pass all courses and attain a CGPA of 2.0 or better and complete course requirements within the prescribed timelines.
