Third Class Power Engineering

Program Description


Students taking the courses listed below may be granted six months credit in lieu of the 12 months operating experience from ABSA. For more information regarding certification regulations go to the Alberta Boilers Safety Association website at www.absa.ca or visit sopeec.org. Third Class can only be taken after successful completion of Fourth Class.

For the classroom offering, it is recommended that students purchase the textbooks before attending their first class at www.powerengineering.org, or call 1-866-256-8193.

Program Overview


Progression


You have up to five years to complete all certificate courses. You must meet the graduation requirements as they exist at the time you register for your first course (see AC.3.1.1 Grading and Progression).

Admission Requirements


Option 1: Third Class Power Engineering Certificate of Achievement


Students take all four courses to get the Certificate of Achievement.

Option 2: Third Class Power Engineering Certificate of Achievement


Students take all two courses to get the Certificate of Achievement.

Option 3: Third Class Power Engineering Certificate of Achievement


Students take one course to get the Certificate of Achievement.
