CADD Operator Level I

Program Description


In computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), operators use computer software to create technical plans and drawings with applications in architecture, construction and other industries. With the five courses in the CADD Operator Level 1 certificate of achievement, you’ll master two-dimensional (2D) drafting through hands-on CADD training in AutoCAD and MicroStation software. You’ll also review drafting basics and learn CAD construction techniques.

Professional Designations and Certifications

A number of the courses in this program have been approved for education and training credits towards Gold Seal Certification.

Progression


There are no entrance requirements for this program. You can begin registering for courses anytime by clicking a course name or calling 403-284-7248. Once you have registered for at least one course and have a SAIT student ID number, consider filling out and submitting the Program Declaration Form to the Office of the Registrar. Contact information for the Office of the Registrar is located in the upper corner of the form.

You can take up to five years to complete all certificate courses and must meet the graduation requirements as they exist at the time that you register for the program’s first course (see AC.3.1.1 Grading and Progression).
