Program Description


MicroStation is a computer-assisted design (CAD) software program used for two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) design, drafting and simulation. In three courses, you will gain experience in MicroStation, beginning with an overview of basic elements and commands and progressing to more complex options such as crosshatching, graphic manipulation, elements, reference files, working sets, advanced text, special elements and plotting.

Professional Designations and Certifications

A number of the courses in this program have been approved for education and training credits towards Gold Seal Certification.

Note: This program is eligible for the Canada-Alberta Job Grant.

Progression



There are no entrance requirements for this program. You can begin registering for courses anytime by clicking a course name or calling 403-284-7248. Once you have registered for at least one course and have a SAIT student ID number, consider filling out and submitting the Program Declaration Form to the Office of the Registrar. Contact information for the Office of the Registrar is located in the upper corner of the form.

You can take up to five years to complete all certificate courses and must meet the graduation requirements as they exist at the time that you register for the program’s first course (see AC.3.1.1 Grading and Progression).
