Description


Interested in learning about the residential framing industry? Thinking about a job in the residential job sector? This Framing Principles Certificate of Completion will teach you about materials management, framing principles and moisture control with a focus on skills and safety training. It is an ideal course for those who are not afraid to enthusiastically dive into both the classroom and lab components.

You will learn from instructors who have real life experience and help you learn skills that you can immediately apply. Their perspective and experience in the construction industry will provide you with a realistic and practical understanding of the industry.

This fast paced introduction will provide you with hands on experience framing different components of a residential house including the floor, wall, windows and roof. Students should be willing to become comfortable with power tools and be agreeable to work in a team environment with fellow students during the duration of the course.

Students will be responsible for providing their own PPE: CSA Safety Boots and Hard Hats. Safety glasses and vests will be provided by SAIT.
