Digital Audio

Program Description

Discover the theory of sound and learn how to work effectively with today’s digital audio hardware and software. You’ll learn how to prepare the environment, select and position microphones, interconnect equipment and record music and sounds and effectively process and modify those recordings using the latest digital technologies. You’ll learn how to record, edit, apply digital signal processing, mix and master a variety of digital audio projects. Students must take eight courses in total; four core courses plus four electives. This certificate is also offered in a 7-week full-time Fast-Track delivery during July and August each year.

Progression

You have up to five years to complete all certificate courses. You must meet the graduation requirements as they exist at the time you register for your first course (see AC.3.1.1 Grading and Progression).
