IT Technician

Program Description

The A+ and Network + certifications are in demand in today’s IT market. The A+ certification shows competence as an entry level technician and the Network + certification demonstrates the ability to manage, maintain, install and configure basic computer networks. The IT Technician certificate will help prepare you to write these two COMP TIA certification exams. It is recommended that A+ course be completed first as that will provide you will a solid preparation for the Network+.

Progression

You have up to five years to complete all certificate courses. You must meet the graduation requirements as they exist at the time you register for your first course (see AC.3.1.1 Grading and Progression).

• CMPN 109 - Network+ In Depth

• In place of CMPH 115 students will need to take the following three courses.

• CMPH 001 - A+ In Depth - Hardware, Peripherals and Security
• CMPH 002 - A+ In Depth - Operating Systems
• CMPH 003 - A+ InDepth - Networking and IoT
