Program Description
The Financial Accounting for Production Accountants certificate of completion helps petroleum production accountants explore the fundamentals of financial petroleum accounting as it relates to production accounting. Courses offer an overview of the production accountant’s day-to-day activities and transactions, as well as insights on how the fundamentals of accounting are applied to a petroleum company’s financial statements.
This program is designed as professional development for graduates of the CAPPA certificate program and production accountants already working in their field.

Your Career
This program is for the professional development of Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting (CAPPA) graduates and production accountants who are already working in their field.
Note: This program is eligible for the Canada-Alberta Job Grant.
Student Success
Students have up to five years to complete all certificate courses and must meet the graduation requirements as they exist at the time they register for their first course (see AC.3.1.1 Grading and Progression).
Credentials and Accreditation
After successfully completing this program, graduates will receive a SAIT Financial Accounting for Production Accountants Certificate of Completion.
