Program Description
Over the past three decades, SAIT Polytechnic has become a trusted leader in the training and development of oil and gas operators and power engineers worldwide. The Worker Safety Management program focuses on occupational health and safety for individuals working in oil and gas operations. Worker Safety Awareness Levels 1 and 2 address the personal safety of any type of worker on the job. Workplace Safety Management Levels 1 and 2 cover the safety of the workplace from a supervisory/management perspective. This program is an excellent complement to anyone taking our online operations and maintenance training programs: Gas Process Operations, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Process Operations, Production Field Operations, Thermal Production Operations and Power Engineering (Fifth, Fourth, Third, Second, First Class). This training will also benefit anyone in an oil and gas operations environment who requires occupational health and safety knowledge to do his/her job more effectively whether as a worker or in a supervisory/management role. This program includes a theory component and knowledge self-assessments (quizzes and a final exam.) It is delivered in an interactive, self-paced, online format supported by phone and email, or in-person access (at SAIT) to dedicated, industry-experienced tutors. You have up to five years to complete this program. For more program information, please email distance.education@sait.ca. Your Career
