Production Operations and Maintenance Technician

Program Description


The Production Operations and Maintenance Technician program prepares graduates to operate production operations facilities safely and efficiently in compliance with industry standards and regulations. This program provides trainees with both the foundational knowledge of oil and gas production operations along with a specialization in one of four technical disciplines. Theses disciplines are in Production Operations, Instrumentation, Electrical and Mechanical. The program has an integrated English and Academic upgrading component that is a prerequisite in order to successfully complete the subsequent technical training for the Production Operations and Maintenance component. This program has an equal balance of applied learning and theory that includes competency based assessments. Embedded English language and Academic Upgrading supports this program. Areas of study include: Math, Physics, Technical English, Chemistry, Information Technology, HSE and Petroleum Industry Common Core.
