Program Description
A unique program designed to help high school students develop interest, skills, and experience in wood trades while being challenged with gaining foundational knowledge in high school. This program comprises of three courses which provide real world, practical skills in woods trades. The program expects the student to be punctual and attend all classes, practice safe handling of tools and timely completion of tasks and projects. Credentials
After successfully completing this program, learners will receive a SAIT Certificate of Achievement. Progression
Students must pass all three courses to complete the program. For high school credits to be awarded, a minimum attendance rate of 85% is required. Admission Requirements
Admission to the program is decided by the school board (CBE/CCSD), who receives all applications, interviews applicants and selects candidates based on students’ application statements, current standing, alignment with program objectives and student eligibility. |
