Program Description

The Oil and Gas Regulations certificate prepares you for work pertaining to the application of provincial oil and gas regulations in Canada. This comprehensive program begins with an historical overview of Canadian confederation, the Canadian justice system, and the role of federal and provincial governments in regulating oil and gas activity. Learn the process and requirements to receive approvals and licenses for oil and gas activities including seismic exploration, lease construction, drilling, facilities construction, and large scale projects. Also learn about the reporting required to maintain compliance with regulations during the life cycle of a well.
